Thanks for stopping by~ I hope you'll find something you're looking for, whether that's a private lesson, a commissioned piece, or one of the pre-made pieces from our consignment shop.
I started Looking Glass with a goal of selling my own work. I had no idea that less than a year later I'd be opening a studio to offer classes and workspace to the art community! While I do have more paperwork sometimes than I'd like, running the studio is very rewarding when I get to see what our students and members have created.
In my (limited) spare time, I like biking, kayaking, and playing with my cats or watching the chickens run around my yard. I hope one day to share all my pottery joys with my daughter and finally try all the cool pottery styles I've saved over the years!
Feel free to connect with me on instagram, at @nicalovespottery.
Well, I'm still figuring that out. I like to throw on the wheel, and have some 8-years of experience throwing pottery. I've been into sgraffito and larger forms lately, and am still trying to find techniques that I want to stick with in the long term. Plus, there's a whole, exciting world of glazes out there, and a glaze can take a good piece to great!
Honestly, all of it. Send me pottery reels on Instagram all day. There are so many options, so many things to learn, it can be overwhelming. But it can also be deeply creative and fun!
And whether you're an expert or a first-time potter, don't worry about perfection. It's just clay, and you can always try again.
